Bryant’s Wake Up Celebration

Bryant’s Wake Up Celebration at Ryan’s restaurant.

It was ten years ago Bryant woke up from a coma. Kevin received the call June 2003 that Bryant had been in a car wreck and was in the hospital. It wasn’t until we went to visit him- actually his parents and sister, that I realized just how serious his injuries were. To describe my memories of that time is difficult. How to put them into words? All I can say at this time, “What a pleasure it was at Bryant’s Wake Up Celebration!” So many happy people were at this gathering.

Onions & Seeds

I was walking in the yard last evening not really thinking of much. As I was passing my husband’s garden I noticed this odd plant. So later that evening I asked him what it was. He smiled sheepishly at me and asked me, “Why”. I am now really wondering what it is he’s growing! He has a couple rows of onions and he let five plants “seed”.

The next time you are walking through your yard, what do you see that you have overlooked? Is it interesting? Do you know what it is? If not, do a Google search. You may just be surprised at what you learn! Be sure to grab your camera and take a pic of it…..

Snack Time

Snack Time for Briella!

The simple things in life have the most meaning in the years to come. Here are a series of images taken while Briella was eating her morning snack- a serving of peaches in syrup. OH how she loves the syrup! Seeing her little fingers and hand holding the container and feeding herself is priceless.

Briella, her parents and I went to Lake Shawnee for Briella’s photo session a few days ago. Once finished taking pictures, it was snack time. Plus this gave me- grandma, the opportunity to sit and relax for a bit. It’s tiring chasing after a toddler! As I was sitting I was watching Brie. How cute to see her little fingers grab at the peach pieces, then placing it into her little mouth. Grabbing the camera, I began taking these images to remember this snack time forever!
