A Dear Friend’s Wedding

dear friends

My Dear Friend Jennifer.

Jennifer and I were introduced to each other about 15 years ago. It was thru one of my photography clients, Ashley. She was a senior in high school and we were taking her senior portraits. During the session she wanted images taken at the dance studio she was enrolled in classes. Jennifer was and still is the owner of Entertainment Dance Company (EDC). We have been friends ever since.

Although I am no longer taking wedding images for clients, I do make exceptions for family and special friends. Please take a peek of Jennie and Brandon’s Wedding Album below. Enjoy!

A Country Style Wedding

Hi, I had the great pleasure of photographing Chris & Randi’s wedding this month.

What a wonderful wedding it was! When working with groups of people- I, as the photographer, try to have control of the situation. Well that’s much easier said then done….at least when working with children, two year old children!. This shot is of the groom’s family.

Notice that the groom is sitting in front. That was NOT how the picture was planned. The groom was standing next to his bride with the ring bearer standing in front, between the bride and groom. The ring bearer had different thoughts- LOL!

Next is one of the bridesmaids. These girls were a joy to work with!

My photography style is more of the traditional type. Old school thinking is the bride is the only one to wear white on the wedding day. This bride picked the same color of her dress for the bridesmaids skirts. A family member made the skirts. They are adorable once I got over the girls wearing the bride’s color!

Here are just a few more to share-

A Short Engelken Wedding!

Paul & Becky Short

My niece married a delightful young man- Paul, over the Labor Day weekend. Usually this time of year is hot. The day was beautiful; could not have asked for a better day! The celebration took place at Melvern Lake.

Of the weddings I have had the pleasure to photograph, I appreciate the groom NOT messing up the bride when it’s time for the cake table event. This in my opinion is not very nice. However- this one time has been an exception to my personal rule. Paul did smash cake into Becky’s face; but not bad.

The crowd cheered for him to eat the cake. AND he did!

Here are a few more of my personal favorites from the wedding.

The Train
The Train

Typically when I photograph this pose, it’s the bridesmaids who straighten out the train. Well the “ladies” were no where to be found. So I asked the men to assist. I just had to snap the image!
