A Fan of Different Colors

My office was once my son’s bedroom. This room is not a large one; just 9′ by 12′ not including the closet. It’s rather quaint. Many times and hours I have spent here. It was just the other night I was lying in the middle of the floor waiting for an image gallery to upload to the server that I actually saw this view of the ceiling fan. And I wondered how many times my son as a child did the very same thing.

By the red paddle you will see the football hanging down from the fan. When Adam (my son) was using this room he was young and short. For him to be able to turn the paddles on and off, the chain length needed to be extended. He just thought this was cool having the football at the end of the chain! Memories now but each time I think of them it seem’s just like yesterday. How time passes. Yes, I have heard others say the very same. But- boy, how time fly’s is an under statement.

Be sure to grab your camera and take those photos of the everyday stuff. As time fly’s, it will be those small things that will be very precious memories in the years to come.

g’mas Stroller | A Walk in the Park

g’mas Stroller

I just love my g’ma stroller! The pretty pink was not planned. About a month ago while babysitting, Briella and I planned on going to the zoo. I needed a stroller- not really wanting to spend a whole lot of money. We went to one of my favorite stores- Wal-Mart. Most of the umbrella strollers were of cartoon characters. So not me or grandbaby! After digging and searching I found this pretty hot pink one. We were set to go to zoo and had a fun time too!

Well on a different trip to my favorite store- Wal-Mart, I was looking for a bag to carry overnight clothes and such for short overnight stays. Low and behold I found this pink bag in the clearance section- 7 bucks!

Okay- moving forward, just this weekend Briella and I went to garage sales. The pink bag was in the car and I needed it to carry a diaper, drink and snacks for Briella not to mention a place for my wallet and phone. The bag was uncomfortable for long lengths to carry on the shoulder. I happened to try slipping the rings on the stroller handle. The bag fit like a charm. This now will be my “official” equipment when Briella and I go on our outtings. She sure looks pretty in pink!

The importance of a lasting relationship.

Briella and I met my daughter for her lunch break. It was after we ate I was strolling Briella back to the car. During our stroll this elderly couple was walking ahead of us. So many thoughts came rushing to mind as I witnessed this gentleman escorting his companion out to the parking garage: how many years have they been together; how many children do they have; are they okay; I hope my husband & I still hold hands at that age. It dawned on me to grab my camera.

Grabbing the camera, I had to run to catch up with them.
For being elderly they sure had a spring to their walk!
