Meet Alicia

I have had the pleasure of meeting Alicia. She is the newest person in our office. What a fun young lady! Her favorite color is green. Running is a stress relief for Alicia and she enjoys it! So much so that she brings in a bag full of food she is eating throughout the day. That’s all the more reason I should keep up with my walking endeavors- so I can eat more, NOT! That will be another post- my walking exercise experiences 🙂

The Sony Nex 5N was the camera (my g’ma camera) I used to take the images. Please note: I was in g’ma mode and not paying alot of attention to my shadows. Looking at these images I should have turned Alicia so the shadows were not so heavy on her face, under the eyes or used the flash.

The picture grouping above shows the collage I made with Fotofusion V5. There is a comparison chart detailing the difference between the Enhanced and Extreme versions. This is the software I use for my photography business and personal images. The Extreme version is the one I use. So easy. Book design and holiday card design are just two items I use the software for.

Breakfast with the Girls

Breakfast with the Girls!

Sunday morning my husband woke me up asking if I would like to have breakfast with him and the girls. Of course I asked, “What girls?” Again he asked the same question. It took me a bit to figure out he was speaking of the cows!

My date consisted of biscuits and gravy from the local BP and then to Casey’s for tea. According to Kevin BP has the better biscuits and gravy with Casey’s having the better tea. Then off to the pasture to see the girls!

A couple of the cows are rather tame. When parked, I got out and stood in front of the truck. One of the girls came right up to me. Kevin softly said don’t move. The cow licked my arm. It startled me and in turn spooked the cow. Off she ran. The tongue was rough like sandpaper.

Of course being in the cow pasture, one had to be careful where to step!

4th of July

4th of July

I absolutely enjoyed my 4th of July this year! This was the first time in quite awhile that my parents, me and my husband; my daughter and her little family and my son were together. Truly a wonderful day!

Erika and Shaune were at the folks house early. I arrived at noon, just in time for lunch; sandwiches and chips. After lunch Briella took a short nap. During her nap Erika gave Buckshot a bath in the front yard. He needed it! Erika had an afternoon of fun games planned for Briella in the front yard. She set up the sprinkler, had sidewalk chalk and bubbles. The neighbor kids were outside and they were invited to join in on the games.

It was fun watching them run through the sprinkler playing Red Rover, Red Rover. The neighbor kids have a trampoline. When they were finished with the water games, they all headed to the trampoline. Erika jumped a couple of times. Briella really bounced- Erika thought best if she refrained from jumping- LOL!

The dog got washed. We played in the water. Had a cookout. Even ate outside- picnic style. And homemade ice cream was for dessert. It was while we were eating we all mentioned we never brought fireworks. Oh well, we still had a fun time together. Looking forward to next year!
