Hi, the New Year is just around the corner. Grab your free 2016 calendar!

2016 Calendar

Download the new year calendar here.

For Year, Multi-Month, Multi-Week, Week, Week Planner or Day version- simply use the contact form stating the style you wish. I will provide the download link. Please allow 12 to 24 hours for your request.

Each downloaded 2016 calendar can be three hole punched and added to a notebook- OfficeDepot.com.

Franklin offers binders and punches.

Office Depot and Franklin are two of my favorites. The items mentioned can ususally be purchased at your favorite local office supply store.

I personally like folding the page of the current month and tucking it into my purse. When I wish to remember a specific moment, I jot it down on the calendar on the corresponding day. The backside is great for taking notes that can not fit on the front side.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hobby Lobby Window Shopping

October, November and December are my most favorite time of the year! And my most busy. I have been photographing families, children and most recently for my employer- products for a catalog. These have taken time away from my blog. I would like to share one of my favorite memories from the past month- window shopping.

Window Shopping

My daughter needed to visit her local Hobby Lobby store. I was delighted that I was carrying my camera that day. So many photo opportunities! Not sure if my daughter was aware that I was taking as many images as I did.

Notice the halloween items in the image above? Well, Hobby Lobby also had their Christmas decor out as well. I live in a small farm house. Not a whole lot of room to decorate- limiting it to primarily the tree. It was a pleasure and delight seeing all of the decorations.

After our Hobby Lobby run, we headed on over to Wal-Mart. Of course we had to check out the toy section for Brie.

My husband and I are expecting our second grand baby here real soon- November 30 is the expected due date. My daughter and her husband have chosen teal as the baby color for the room, car seat and such. So I have been on the search of teal colored scrapbooking elements for an announcement card. I was in luck and found just what I needed at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Will it be a boy or girl?

Friday- the day after Thanksgiving is the day I will be celebrating with my family. I can certainly relate to the saying, the most important gift I can receive is family time when everyone can be at one place at the same time. Tomorrow will be such the day!

I truly wish your holidays are filled with family cheer and healthy body, mind and soul.

Ellen DeGeneres Visits KU

Hi, October and November are busy months- sorry for the delay in posts! This time of year is family portrait session with the beautiful autumn leaves. I took a much needed break. Did you hear…….

Ellen DeGeneres visits KU

ellen-webx

What an unexpected fun experience! Working most of the weekend on gallery edits- I took a moment to troll my Facebook account. Yes I call it trolling to keep up with family and friends near and far. I stumbled onto the above notice of Ellen coming to KU- Kansas University. That’s only 20 minutes from my house. Ellen is one of my favorites to watch on TV. Off I went!

Many people with lots of energy and excitement. I just added the 200-500mm lens to my camera gear which provided a fun outing to test the lens. The Ellen DeGeneres event took place between the football stadium and the hill in front of the Campanile Memorial. Ellen was not physically at KU. Her camera crew set up the satellite stage for Ellen to video conference with the crowd on the KU campus. She asked that everyone dress up as a Royal Baseball player. Several did and others like me did not. I had fun people watching! The gallery is featured below.

This segment was taped live to be aired today- the first day of the World Series. Be sure to watch Ellen. I’m wearing a pink sweatshirt in the distant crowd to the right. I was told the camera could pano the whole audience.

Go Royals!
